To all my East Coast Halloweenies— PLEASE STAY SAFE!  This storm is not fooling around.  And I’m especially looking at you, New England STUBBORN Yankees.  Yes, I know how we are—“Storm?  Was that a storm?  Pssh.”—but this time it’s different.  This is completely unprecedented, and you all need to take it seriously. Please make sure you’re evacuating if you’re supposed to.  Please make sure you have supplies.  Stay with family and neighbours if you’re alone.  Don’t go out if you don’t have to, if it’s bad—jobs be damned.  Don’t drive through water.  Look out for downed trees and power lines.   I’m not prone to histrionics, but I don’t like what I’m reading about this storm (and most of my friends and all of my family are in New Hampshire/New Jersey, so I’m sitting here in Vancouver, worrying). Please, stay safe.
